Laura has been an RMT since 2019 and completed the program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster.

Laura believes in matching the client’s needs with the techniques that will be most effective in treating their condition and managing their symptoms.

Laura’s focus is on treating the body as a whole to accomplish the patient’s goals. As she is dedicated to improving a person’s sense of well-being, she encourages her patients to invest in their health and daily lives in combination with massage. She does this by giving her patients a comprehensive home-care routine of both stretching and strengthening exercises.

Since becoming a mother herself, Laura’s areas of interest are in working with individuals in the child bearing years, especially during pregnancy or postpartum, surgical scars, and breast/chest health.

Laura’s innate passion in being active herself has also geared her toward treating patients suffering from sports injuries. Her background in Personal Training has broadened her knowledge of different parts of the body and how they work in tandem with each other.

Laura is eager to continue to learn new ways to manage pain in the body through different forms of manual therapy.

Continuing Education:

  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (Dr. Nikita Visniak)

Katie is continuously learning about evidence based approaches to pain. Her treatment approach is to create an environment for the body to heal itself through positive manual therapy and to promote self efficacy.

Patient centred care is important.

Katie graduated from the 3000 hour massage therapy program at the Victoria campus of West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007 and is a self proclaimed life-long learner. She can often be found watching a webinar or attending a course!

Lyrica believes that all bodies are an amazing work of art. She has witnessed the resiliency the human body is capable of and wants to create a safe encouraging environment for her patients to heal. Her areas of special interest are in working with surgical scars, breast/chest health and child bearing individuals, especially during pregnancy or postpartum.

Pregnancy, birth and postpartum are an amazing and intense thing for a body to go through and Lyrica would like to provide support to those individuals going through all those changes so rapidly. Her capacity for empathy for what parents and especially birthing parents go through has only grown since becoming a mother herself.

Lyrica really cares about creating a safe place for her patients in treatment. People of all races, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religions welcome.

About Breast/Chest treatments.

Lyrica loves working with surgical scar tissue and has done further training to be better able to work with people who have undergone, or in preparation to undergo, breast or chest surgery. The breasts can be a highly sensitive area, both physically and emotionally, but is far too often neglected which can have dire consequences on someone’s physical and emotional well-being.
